With only one day left in round 2, the competition is really starting to heat up! In an effort to ensure that the hopefuls with the greatest need have a shot at getting the help they deserve, we’ll be setting all vote counts back to zero at the beginning of Round 3. Isn’t this a contest with a prize of $50,000? If they really want to help people why is there even a cash prize? Does “greatest need” mean need for money? Need for skills? Need for ratings?
So we spent all this time promoting their site and now they are pulling this crap. As far as I know, this is the first time they are resetting votes in any online reality show contest. Let’s try and hold the lead to the end and see what happens.

If this is true, then Mike is spending too much time voting for himself everyday (and his buds). There is a way to vote for yourself repeadidly, if the producers knows this already, i doubt you will be picked. If you are a PUA , an author or a compeditor, why even bother for this show? The publicity isnt worth it, rather, it will show you as a different light than you being a ‘guru.’ If you written a book, or affliated, then you know of the community. Hahahaha, I love these guys trying to dissuade you from getting on the show, we all know that they are the second rate losers who are behind you by 10,000 votes. And actually if Mike wins the online voting, he is guaranteed on the show by law or he can sue Vh1’s bitch asses and instead of meeting Mystery, he’ll be very rich. So win win Mike. Unfortunately they could probably find some reason to NOT let me on the show in any circumstance. I’m sure their attorneys have written all Terms and Conditions to allow for it. It would be pretty lame, but that’s life sometimes.

I have to give VH1 credit, the whole "virtual casting" idea was a great way of getting people to bust their asses to promote the show for free. At least Stoute’s getting some promotion for TSB out of it in return.
If anyone REALLY wanted to get on the show the easiest and best way is to send in a head shot and application to one of the casting companies or go to one of the actual physical casting calls.

damn mike i never realised how badly people were cheating until i read that link you put up. I have been promoting on my own, and have had people promoting for me and cant strike anywhere near as drastic of jumps as they can. Your votes i can see having a bit from being one of the main guys on this site which obviously gets traffic, but im guessing some of the people voting for you are cheating. and yes Chase those guys seem like the "half retarded hobbit" type.

well, i still feel the same as before but do realise with your site it is given your going to have a high number of votes. One of my friends promotes for me(2-3 times a week) and he covers about 4500 people through 2 counties when he does and you can see the jump in votes on my page but other than that i think im pulling average numbers for my own promoting. Like that oscar guy i dont think has done anything and is still racking up votes. Whats going to be funny is if they take the winner they get you, but if they dont let you on they are going to have the ultimate computer nerd puppy that just sat tehre and voted for himself nonstop

I never had a problem with Mike, he can look at his testimonial board and see that.
Having said that, if he hasn’t been contacted by the casting company yet, he’s not one of the people they have selected for an audition. How do I know? I’m one of the guys that was selected, me and fourteen others from the website. How good are our chances? I don’t know, the did a live casting audition in LA, so it’s fourteen of us, (one unfortunately dropped out), against everyone who showed up in L.A.
This isn’t necessarily because Mike isn’t "allowed’ on there, but he hasn’t followed the rules. You have to post up a video of yourself, he only has a video testimonial from someone else. There’s nothing on the website about being a PUA or running a blog or anything else, so he can still take the win on the website and get on the show. He isn’t stealing anyone’s spot except whoever number two is, which is currently Oscarb. So Oscarb can hate, the production company has already picked the fifteen biggest losers on the website, (should I feel privileged or insulted? Lol.) Oh yeah, Mike, *hint hint* get on the ball and put up a video of yourself.
My only concern with Mike is if he’s going to help out his fellow contestants with his superior knowledge. If he does, then bless him. He’ll be spending hours and hours each day with these guys, the gurus probably won’t. He has more of a chance to help out contestants than anyone else.

Make sure you start posting up blogs and things like that letting people know. I think most people are under the impression you want to steal the show, or that you want publicity. Let people get more of a feel for you in your videos and blogs on the website. It won’t get rid of everyone, but it will make most of the more reasonable people think about what could <i>bring</i> to the show, rather than take away from the show, which is what most people’s perspective is.

Dude, I voted for you today, and will continue to do so. I think it’s ridiculous they’re trying to pull shenanigans. Having someone with game on the show will only make it more interesting because it adds to the dynamic, plus you’ll be helping the other guys, which is a plus.

Well, Mike invited me over when I first started posting on his testimonial board. It would be rude not to visit. :P
Second, and more pertinent, any contestant who is not trying to improve their game RIGHT NOW is an idiot. And also a liar. It asks you on the questionairre, "show Mystery your dedication." How are you going to prove dedication when you’re sitting at home doing the same thing you’ve been doing and not getting results?
If I was cast on the Ultimate Fighter, you’re damn right I would be hitting the gym for six hours a day getting all the training I could. Since Mike doesn’t charge 3000 dollars a day for his information, (it’s free!) any contestant not viewing his website is being stubborn. Not like Mike’s going to get hurt by me not viewing the site. Lol.
That said, I honestly think the other top two guys suck. Mike was more active than either of them, and we know he has the dedication to win. Supposedly Monday is when they make the final cuts, if they choose me, (slim odds, I know), I’d be happy to say hi to Mike at the mansion. The guys that hate can play with themselves in the mansion while me and Mike tear up the clubs. :P

These rule changes are crazy. Like I said, how could anyone have all the stuff filled in when they changed it every three hours and changed the rules, guidelines, etc.? Don’t they run beta tests of their server? The Pick-up Artist was last season’s most popular show, are they really going to let a screwed up server ruin the casting process?
Ugh. Like Rob, I think you’re the most interesting guy up there. Neither of the two other guys commented on things. I have a little sympathy because KF113 was pretty cool when I first got on the site, but then he dithered completely off the board. I never heard from Oscarb at all.
Vh1 is still screwed any way they do this though. Everyone knows Mike is the most popular guy on the board, he lead by 3000 votes at the close. If they announce either of the other two guys as winners, people will not believe them. I think they’re just adding drama by doing it this way. KF was at 8000 votes at the close, making him about 3x less popular than Mike or Oscarb. How would he be able to win now when he had less than a third of the support Mike did? Doesn’t make sense.
They should have done what they said they would do. Reset all the votes, give a guaranteed shot to the winner and select the others from the top twenty after the reset. That would have been fairer and allowed the people that the fans were obviously rooting for like SensualJedi, SpeedRacer, and Snickers. I’m not happy with how they did this because a lot of talented guys are going to get overlooked. I’m pretty sure they already said yes or no on me when I did the home audition tape, but Speedracer, Sensual, and Snickers deserved a shot. (The three Ss of future seductions.)

That would definitely rock, and it wouldn’t be as controversial. Last season had a hang-over effect when a lot of the guys were found out to be actors. Well, no duh, it’s Los Angeles casting. Everyone is going to be an actor, but it raises a lot of questions about the show and what Mystery is teaching.
I realize they tried moving the show to Austin to help combat that, but my impression is that this show is going to be filmed in Los Angeles. Filming in Los Angeles hiring actors from Los Angeles? Ninja please. Don’t think that will raise some questions about the show? No actors, or at least no actors from Los Angeles.
And a moment of applause for Spoon and JDog. I just found out digging on myspace that Jdog found Spoon after the show and helped him, and apparently he’s doing really great. That gives Jdog a huge prop bonus in my book to go out of his way to help someone like that.

Funny story from yesterday: I was getting my hair cut by a hot blonde, age 21, at the mall. BTW, she also worked at Hooters. Well, I chatted her up, and eventually the convo meandered to The Pickup Artist and we started talking about game. I told her "my friend Mike from up north" was the leading vote getter on the VH1 site and that he might be on the show! She was totally into it, and this was the turning point in the convo. She asked me my name right after that and I knew it was on. I # and myspace closed. This chick is top 3 hottest I’ve number closed in the last two months easy.

wow, the PUA site is gay as shit, no way oscar could legitimatly get that many votes. KF is quite a bit questionable and i give mike the benefit of this site for helping him hit high numbers. I like the changing rules what 4 times in the past week thing too, I wish I coulda made the show but with schedule i couldn’t. I hope they take my idea atleast and bring Mike in as an advisor because from this site and what alot of people say he has good intentions and is entertaining.

Oscarb has been having a hissy fit over what Snickers told him. I pointed out that Oscarb has no network at all, and that the only post I could find by him has no comments or replies. He directs me to allgames.com where I find a post about voting for him, which has one response and a whole 185 views. (Of which, I gave him two of those views.)
LOL! To respond, Oscarb didn’t know that the site has that stupid error message after you comment, so he kept spam messaging on Snickers blog. How’s that, a guy who visited the site so few times that he didn’t even know how to leave a comment? That’s classy.
He does do a show where he posts as "Poacher Oscar" about DC comics. Maybe they’re pulling for him, since no one else knows anything about him.
Anyway Wright, the problem with Mike as an adviser is that pick-up has different schools. The biggest difference that I’ve seen is how direct or indirect people go, and Mike seems like a direct guy to me. Indirect guys make it seem like they just want to start a conversation, so they disqualify themselves when they first start talking. "We’d never get along", "Your mom warned you about guys like me", or "Man do I feel fat" are all things most guys wouldn’t say to a girl they want to hit on.
Direct guys show more interest early on. I haven’t read much from direct game guys yet, the two that are famous for it are "Juggler" and "Brad P". Anyway, the Mystery Method is probably indirect game’s most famous advocates. If Mike isn’t familiar with it, he wouldn’t be a good coach. Make no mistake, Mystery is definitely marketing his system. Given the ginormous sums of money he is charging to learn it, if Mike showed an equally viable system, it would make those monstrous sums seem over-inflated.

Out of the last three contestants, there is no doubt that you should win this. Wanted you to know that you got my full support. Sure thing. Maybe by having you on the show, it will force the other guys to amp up their game. I know while I was competing against you on the Vh1 website, I pretty much stayed out of all the MikeStoute drama. I thought it was pretty ridiculous the way everybody kept coming after you. However, everyday that I got on the site I kept thinking "I gotta get up to this guys level. I gotta get up to this guys level." Just knowing you were there made me push myself harder each day. So I appreciate the challege that you gave me. And I can respect you for that. Hopefully, the contestants on the show will be moved in the same way that I was. The guys on the Vh1 website should have spent more time trying to figure out how to get more votes rather than harass you. What all of them failed to realize is that even if you make it onto the show, you’re not guarateed to win. None of the contestants are guaranteed to win. That’s totally Mystery’s call.
